Every homeowner knows how difficult it can be to find trustworthy people and companies to work on your house. Particularly when the job is large and expensive—like replacing all 18 of our “antique” 1929 windows—the anxiety level can be quite high. My wife and I received an estimate from another company, but their presentation and manner of doing business did not fill us with confidence. From the very first, however, Hometown Contractors made us feel good about the way they did business, and they never betrayed that initial trust. They were, from their first presentation to the final completion of the job, completely professional, trustworthy, clear, and focused. They were a pleasure to work with, everyone associated with the company friendly and generous with their time. They brought the job in on time and on budget; to my mind one can’t ask for more from a contractor.

We had checked with other companies.. When Craig came out he gave us options to provide solutions.. The work was done in a professional and timely manner.. Cleaned up after themselves and was efficient.. Very nice.. Windows and proved to be what Craig said they would be. We love them..

Trying to keep cool.

We had received quotes from other window companies who tried to sell us less efficient, more expensive windows. This led us to be unsure if we could find a company to meet our specific budget and efficiency needs. Months later, we decided to give it one more try. Our experience with HomeTown Contractors was by in large positive. We easily made a convenient appointment for an estimate. While the impressive presentation with Craig was longer than expected; we had all of our questions answered and were positive we could get an honest, accurate quote. He was excellent in listening to our specific needs. He helped us find a solution for two upstairs rooms being much warmer than the rest of the house without creating damage and without buying new hurricane shutters. Over the next few days he was availble to answer our many questions. The next step was measuring and unfortunately there was an issue. We had an appointment set up and were assured he was on the way because like everyone else, we had other commitments that day. When he did not arrive I notified the office and was told he had lost track of time, but would come later to meet my schedule. It is unfortunate that my day was wasted, but it was corrected with importance. The day of installation went very smoothly. We had our house vinyl sided and a new sliding door installed. Craig was our salesman and he did a excellent job explaining everything and laying out all of our options. Tracey called every week and gave us a update of when the permits were pulled, the siding was delivered, and scheduling the installation. Craig and Tracey both called during installation to make sure we were pleased. Mike, Nick, Danny, and Gator were the amazing crew that was sent to do the installation. They were all friendly and very professional. Any questions or concerns were addressed immediately and answered to our satisfaction. There isn’t one bad thing I can say about this process from beginning to end. It was a absolute pleasure working with Hometown Contactors and we will definitely call them for our next project.

Shower replacement

I had my master bath shower torn out and replaced. HTC did a wonderful job, from the initial visit to final inspection. Everyone was professional and courteous. I will definitely use them again if the need arises.

First choice for my next project

I have used several contractors for projects and have found the one to stick with. Hometown Contractors did a tub conversion. Everything was installed on time. Everyone we worked with from sales, contract manager, installers and even subcontractors were neat and professional. All construction debris was removed promptly. Follow up for a minor issue was prompt and courteous.

You get what you pay for

I see neighbors hire inexperienced, uncredentialed works for all of their home improvement projects and more often than not, they are disappointed with the shotty results. I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for. Hometown Contractors may not be the cheapest option, but they are the best choice. They always delivery high quality workmanship and the finished project is nothing short of outstanding. I've hired them for two projects now and I wouldn't go with anyone else. They are very thorough. They have checks and balances in place to make sure that the job is done right. I highly recommend them for your home improvement needs!

Hometown did three bathrooms for me and they did a great job on all three. They also did a great job cleaning up behind themselves and the cost was about what I expected.

Tub to shower

We are so pleased with the shower installation. The professionalism of all involved was top notch. The materials and labor was fantastic. The work was completed as scheduled and the clean up left no dust or dirt anywhere. We will definitely recommend HTC to others.
